Casamata del Calvario
La casamata del cerro del calvario sirvió como nido de ametralladoras en la cima de este cerro. Fue un elemento de importancia en la defensa de Alcaudete, en tanto que el municipio quedó como primera línea de defensa entre el otoño de 1937 y el final de la Guerra Civil española, pasando la frontera entre la zona republicana y la zona sublevada a situarse más allá del río san Juan con Alcalá y más allá del río Víboras con Baena.
The casemate built on top of El Calvario Hill was used as a machine gun nest. It was an important element facilitating the defense of Alcaudete during the Spanish Civil War, as the town was in the first line of defense between the autumn of 1937 and the end of the War, where the frontier between the republican zone and the rebel zone moved beyond San Juan river, towards Alcalá, and beyond Víboras river, towards Baena.
